It rained for two days, Then lastnight it decided to snow. Rick said we were going to get 4 feet. I told him, if we did, I was going to smack him. He was lucky, but we do have 2 inches. YECK!!! New Mexico is looking so nice right about now. Money is to big of a problem though. It's 32 degrees and the kids are going stercrazy. The iwnd is blowing hard. I want the 70's back, we had them last week. Oh well, that's spring in Minnesota.
Helping through greif
My brother in law passed away last Thursday, he was my husbands best friend for years. Unfortunatly, we have'nt spoken to him in a couple of years. He decided that it was his time to go, and went to the place where they went fishing to die. My husband is'nt normally bothered by the passing of a loved one. Being an Apache, he believes that any day is a good day to die. But this death is really afecting him, I'm tring to help him through it. To help him understand that it is ok to grieve. They where a year apart, loved being outdoors, and Steve introduced us. I'm thinking that when we go to the funeral, he'll start letting go. He's been faced with his owm mortality when he had a staff infection, so maybe that is one of the reasons he's having trouble. I don't know, I'm confused too
Pixie poem
There once was a little Pixie
That danced upon the stars
And when she was feeling miscivious,
she would sprinkle some pixie dust
on the innocent travelers below.
Their eyes would start to itch,
and their noses would start to twitch.
Before they new it,
they would be soaring here and there
and everywhere
without a clue
or a care
sines of spring
After such a long winter. ( I know, winter is the same length every year) Having to stay inside for most of it. I finally heard a song bird. It happened on Saturday, I then saw that it might accually reach the 50's this week. i'm so excited to get my bike out and get some fresh air. Mu kids and I want to start planting flowers. My son has already started a meerygold in his headstart class and I excited to put it outside next to his sunflower he planted last year. My girls plant trees every year, but that will be after school is out. If we Minnesotans are luck, we'll have a beautifully warm Easter so that the Easter bunny can hid eggs in the yards this year. Would'nt that ba nice.
Spring solocist is the first day of spring break for my girls, we plan to celebrate by spending the day outside doing something. We have'nt decided yet. Maybe we will go for a walk at Ramsy park in Redwood. I know it's to early to enjoy the waterfall, but we can look for buds in the trees.
THINK SPRING!!!
Blessed Be
Frozen in Minnesota
The temp is below zero. And we're dreaming on warmer places. Don't want to go outside, and I'm afraid of my husband falling. Just talked to mom and she's enjoying 50 degree temps. I would really like to be in Texes right now.
Maybe spring will come early. We've heard birds singing in the morning that sound like spring birds. Just keeping my eyes on the sky and asking the Goddess for a short winter. Hopefully I'll thaw out soon.
